Precise measurement of the W-boson mass with the CDF II detector
Physical Review Letters 108:15 (2012)
Abstract:
We have measured the W-boson mass MW using data corresponding to 2.2fb-1 of integrated luminosity collected in pp虅 collisions at 鈭歴=1.96TeV with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Samples consisting of 470126 W鈫抏谓 candidates and 624708 W鈫捨嘉 candidates yield the measurement MW=80387卤12 stat.卤15syst.=80387卤19MeV/c2. This is the most precise measurement of the W-boson mass to date and significantly exceeds the precision of all previous measurements combined. 漏 2012 American Physical Society.Measurements of the angular distributions of muons from Y decays in pp虅 collisions 鈭歴 = 1.96 TeV

Abstract:
The angular distributions of muons from 违(1S,2S,3S) 鈫捨+渭- decays are measured using data from pp虅 collisions at 鈭歴=1.96TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.7fb-1 and collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. This analysis is the first to report the full angular distributions as functions of transverse momentum pT for 违 mesons in both the Collins-Soper and s-channel helicity frames. This is also the first measurement of the spin alignment of 违(3S) mesons. Within the kinematic range of 违 rapidity |y|<0.6 and pT up to 40GeV/c, the angular distributions are found to be nearly isotropic. 漏 2012 American Physical Society. An additional study of multi-muon events produced in pp- collisions at s=1.96 TeV

Abstract:
We present one additional study of multi-muon events produced at the Fermilab Tevatron collider and recorded by the CDF II detector. We use a data set acquired with a dedicated dimuon trigger and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.9 fb -1. We investigate the distribution of the azimuthal angle between the two trigger muons in events containing at least four additional muon candidates to test the compatibility of these events with originating from known QCD processes. We find that this distribution is markedly different from what is expected from such QCD processes and this observation strongly disfavors the possibility that multi-muon events result from an underestimate of the rate of misidentified muons in ordinary QCD events. 漏 2012 Elsevier B.V.Measurement of Bs0 --> Ds(*)+ Ds(*)- Branching Ratios
