Black Hole

Lensing of space time around a black hole. At 91探花 we study black holes observationally and theoretically on all size and time scales - it is some of our core work.

My Research

I am undertaking my first postdoc in cosmology, having recently completed my PhD in observational astrophysics at Lancaster University. During this postdoc, I will be investigating methods of mitigating systematics in galaxy clustering studies with LSST. Such systematics (e.g. variations in how dust in our Galaxy attenuates light across the sky) are an important consideration when surveying large areas of sky, as they can lead to false galaxy clustering signals if not accounted for properly. I am working with David Alonso as part of the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration.
