  • About

I am a DPhil student working on the dark matter direct detection experiment, which uses dual-phase xenon time projection chamber (TPC) technology to search for dark matter candidates like but can also be used for other rare event searches. 

My research focuses on the interplay between electric fields in the LZ TPC, the charge drift and transport properties of liquid xenon and spurious electron emission near the liquid surface and high-voltage electrodes. I also work on the HydroX experiment at SLAC, Stanford, which aims to study the effect of doping liquid xenon with hydrogen, in order to increase sensitivity to low-mass dark matter.  

I also tutor the B4 Subatomic Physics & the A2 Optics courses at St. Hilda's College, along with elements of the fourth year Particle Physics course (accelerators & detectors, CP violation & oscillations).
