Dr Gabarra鈥檚 general research interests are in the field of astrophysics and instrumentation. In particular, he works on galaxy evolution study over cosmic time based on spectro-photometric catalogues of galaxies. Dr Gabarra is also involved in the development of the fiber positioners of the MOSAIC spectrograph that is planned to be installed on the Extremely Large Telescope. In 2023, he was awarded a position as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Astronomical Instrumentation in association with a Henry Skynner Early Career Research Fellowship at Balliol College.
