Field of Research

Alexander Gerbershagen鈥檚 research applies accelerator and radiation physics to medicine, with an emphasis on radiation therapy, accelerator鈥慴ased production of radioisotopes for nuclear medicine and emerging theranostic programmes. He also develops high鈥慽ntensity proton/ion beam delivery and the associated beam diagnostics and dosimetry for novel irradiation techniques, including ultra鈥慼igh dose鈥憆ate operation and proton radiography.
