I am a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in muon spectroscopy in condensed matter physics. My research concerns the use of muon-spin spectroscopy to study materials that exhibit interesting magnetic phenomena. In particular, my work focuses on the determination of the muon-stopping states in these systems, using density functional theory. Solving this muon site problem helps us to address concerns about the possible perturbative effect that the muon might be having and enables us to obtain more quantitative information of the magnetism in the system under study.
