I am a doctoral researcher in the Semiconductors Group under the supervision of Professor Laura Herz. My research is centred upon using multi-modal spectroscopic techniques to investigate the stability and optoelectronic properties of metal-halide perovskites (MHPs). I have an MPhys from Durham University, where I won the D. A. Wright Prize as the top-ranked student.
Previous work employing in situ X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence measurements demonstrated how atomistic ordering and structural strain can supress halide segregation in mixed-halide perovskite films (). I have also utilised in situ time-resolved mm-wave and photoluminescence spectroscopy to reveal the impact of defect states on charge-carrier dynamics in inorganic MHPs ().
