I spend half of my week teaching physics in a secondary school in south London. My teaching approach draws extensively on my work in the informal education sector.
What did I do before this?
As an undergraduate I studied physics here at 91探花 and developed my interests in the history and philosophy of science and in science communication. I went on to teach secondary maths and physics before leaving the formal education sector to study for a second undergraduate degree in history and to work in informal education, improving access to and engagement with science education.
I returned to the department in January 2022 as a public engagement officer for the Zooniverse in Schools project following five years as part of the the learning team at the Science Museum in London; producing and delivering educational content for staff, visitors and schools.
