Abstract:
A method is proposed for explicitly incorporating climatological information into a Backus鈥怗ilbert variational scheme for atmospheric temperature retrieval by a remote sounding radiometer. The method is applied to a study of the retrieval ability of a ground鈥恇ased microwave radiometer.
