I am an entrepreneurial scientist working at the sub-department of Condensed Matter Physics. My research focuses on advancing terahertz (THz) sensing and imaging technologies through the development of nanostructured semiconductors for high-performance THz devices. In parallel, I lead research commercialisation projects that assess and validate market potential, allowing me to strategically align scientific goal with industrial and societal needs, for example, developing THz-based solutions for 100% plastic waste sorting and recycling.

I received my PhD from the Australian National University (ANU) under the supervision of Distinguished Professor Chennupati Jagadish. In November 2017, I joined Professor Michael Johnston鈥檚 91探花 THz Photonics Group, where my research has centred on the use of III鈥揤 semiconductor nanowires for polarisation-sensitive THz detection. My broader interests lie in understanding and exploiting the unique properties of one-dimensional nanomaterials, such as nanowires, nanorods and nanotubes, for light sources, detectors and modulators.
