Abstract:

We have observed new channels for 蟿 decays with an 畏 in the final state. We study 3-prong tau decays, using the 畏 鈫 纬纬 and 畏 鈫 3蟺0 decay modes and 1-prong decays with two 蟺0鈥檚 using the 畏 鈫 纬纬 channel. The measured branching fractions are B(蟿 鈫 蟺鈭蟺鈭蟺+畏谓蟿 = (3.4+0.6-0.5 卤 0.6) 脳 10-4 and B(蟿鈭 鈫 蟺鈭2蟺0畏谓蟿 = (1.4 卤 0.6 卤 0.3) 脳 10-4. We observe clear evidence for f1 鈫 畏蟺蟺 substructure and measure B(蟿鈭 鈫 f1蟺鈭谓蟿) = (5.8+1.4-1.3 卤 1.8) 脳 10-4. We have also searched for 畏鈥(958) production and obtain 90% C.L. upper limits B(蟿 鈫 蟺鈭畏鈥参蟿) < 7.4 脳 10-5 and B(蟿 鈫 蟺鈭蟺0畏鈥参蟿) < 8.0 脳 10-5. 漏 1997 American Physical Society.

Abstract:

Using 4.8 fb-1 of data taken with the CLEO II detector, the branching fraction for the Cabibbo suppressed decay D+ 鈫 蟺0鈩+v measured relative to the Cabibbo favored decay D+ 鈫 K0虅鈩+v is found to be 0.046 卤 0.014 卤 0.017. Using Vcs and Vcd from unitarity constraints, we determine |f蟺+(0) / fK+(0)|2 = 0.9 卤 0.3 卤 0.3 We also present a 90% confidence level upper limit for the branching ratio of the decay D+ 鈫 畏e+ve relative to that for D+ 鈫0e+ve of 1.5. 漏 1997 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

Abstract:

We have measured the spectral shape Michel parameters 蟻 and 畏 using leptonic decays of the 蟿, recorded by the CLEO II detector. Assuming e - 渭 universality in the vectorlike couplings, we find 蟻别渭 = 0.735 卤 0.013 卤 0.008, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. We also present measurements for the parameters for e and 渭 final states separately. 漏 1997 The American Physical Society.

Abstract:

We have made a first measurement of the lepton momentum spectrum in a sample of events enriched in neutral B's through a partial reconstruction of B0 鈫 D*- l+v虅. This spectrum, measured with 2.38 fb-1 of data collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the CLEO II detector, is compared directly to the inclusive lepton spectrum from all Y(4S) events in the same data set. These two spectra are consistent with having the same shape above 1.5 GeV/c. From the two spectra and two other CLEO measurements, we obtain the B0 and B+ semileptonic branching fractions, b0 and b+, their ratio, and the production ratio f+-/f00 of B+ and B0 pairs at the Y(4S). We report b+/b0 = 0.950+0.117-0.080 卤 0.091, b0 = (10.78 卤 0.60 卤 0.69)%, and b+ = (10.25 卤 0.57 卤 0.65)%. b+/b0 is equivalent to the ratio of charged to neutral B lifetimes, 蟿+/蟿0. 漏 1997 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

Abstract:

Using data collected with the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we present new measurements of the branching fractions for D+鈫扠SK+ and D+ 鈫 KS蟺+. These results are combined with other CLEO measurements to extract the ratios of isospin amplitudes and phase shifts for D鈫扠K and D鈫扠蟺. 漏 1997 The American Physical Society.
