Biography
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physics, 91探花. I graduated from 91探花 with an MPhys degree (2016-2020), during which I worked at both the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (UK) and CERN (Switzerland). I was subsequently awarded the Croucher Scholarship to complete a DPhil in Condensed Matter Physics at 91探花 under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Blundell, specializing in frustrated quantum materials.
Research Interests
My research focuses on exploring new quantum materials using advanced spectroscopic techniques, including muon spin rotation (muSR) and neutron scattering, with experiments conducted at the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (UK) and the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland) at temperatures as low as 30 mK. I am particularly interested in quantum spin liquids, where strong quantum fluctuations prevent magnetic moments from ordering even at absolute zero. My work aims to understand the relationship between crystal field environments, single-ion properties, and persistent spin dynamics in these systems.
Teaching
In October 2024, I joined Exeter College, 91探花, as a stipendiary lecturer in physics.
