The reactions K- + p 鈫 pseudoscalar meson + 螞 (1520) at 4.2 GeV/c

Abstract:
The total and differential cross sections of the reactions K-p 鈫 蟺0螞 (1520), 畏螞(1520) and 畏鈥 螞(1520) have been measured. Prominent forward peaks are onserved in all three reactions. The first reaction shows also a backward peak. The spin density matrix elements of the 螞(1520) in this reaction are determined. For forward production the results show a remarkable alignment of the 螞(1520) corresponding to an M2 transition in the model of Stodolsky-Sakurai for 3 2- baryon production. 漏 1979.K andp off-shell annihilations fromK鈭 +p 鈫 螞 + pions at 4.2 GeV/c

Partial-wave analysis in the Q region of (蟺蟺)- systems produced in K-p reactions at 4.2 GeV/c

Abstract:
A partial-wave analysis and an isospin analysis are presented of the (K蟺蟺)- systems produced in the reactions K-辫鈫扠-蟺-蟺+ and K-辫鈫扠0蟺-蟺-p u sing the high-statistics bubble-chamber data at 4.2 GeV/c. The energy dependence of JP = 1+ waves is investigated in a comparison with results at higher energy. The dominant 1+0+ (K*蟺) with its maximum in the QProduction and decay properties of the D(1285) meson in K-p interactions at 4.2 GeV/c

Abstract:
We have studied the production and decay of the D(1285) meson in the reaction K-p鈫 螞D at an incident K- momentum of 4.2 GeV/c. The cross section for this reaction is 11 卤 3 渭b and the branching ratios D鈫 KK蟺/D 鈫 畏蟺蟺 and D 鈫 4蟺/D 鈫 畏蟺蟺 are found to be 0.42 卤 0.15 and 0.7 卤 0.5, respectively. The proportion of D 鈫 畏蟺+蟺- going through the intermediate 未卤蟺鈭 states is 0.72 卤 0.15. Forward and backward exchange mechanisms are found to contribute in the ratio 3 : 2. 漏 1979.Test of an additive diquark spectator model for meson-baryon quasi-two-body reactions
