Abstract:

The production of electrons by bottom and charm hadrons has been studied in e+e- annihilation at 34.6 GeV center of mass energy. It is observed that the b quark fragmentation function is peaked at large values of the scaling variable z with 銆坺b銆 = 0.84+0.15 + 0.15-0.10 - 0.11. For c quarks 銆坺c銆 = 0.57+0.10 + 0.05-0.09 - 0.06 is observed. A forward-backward charge asymmetry of A = -0.25 卤 0.22 was measured in b production. 漏 1984.

Abstract:

The cross section for the process e+e-鈫捨澄 has been measured for c.m. energies 39.5+>61 GeV and 螞+> GeV (95% confidence level) have been determined. A search for two photon final states with missing energy provided lower limits on the masses of the photino and selectron. 漏 1984 Springer-Verlag.

Abstract:

Production of the pp蟺+- final state by two-photon scattering was observed. The cross section for 纬纬鈫抪p蟺+- was determined assuming phase space production. No evidence was found for the production or formation of resonances. Upper limits are given for 螞 and 螖 pair production, for production of pp蟻{variant}0 and for the two-photon excitation of cc bound states. 漏 1984.

Abstract:

We have determined the 蟿 lifetime in e+e- annihilations at an average centre of mass energy of 42.5 GeV, using a pressurized drift chamber close to the interaction point. We find the lifetime to be (3.18-0.75+0.59 卤 0.56) 脳 10-13 s. The charged weak 蟿 coupling constant relative to that of the 渭 is found to be G蟿/G渭 = 0.94-0.09+0.12 卤 0.09, in good agreement lepton universality. 漏 1984.

Abstract:

Samples of 鈭1,900 identified protons and 鈭500 螞 have been used to search for decuplet baryon production in e+e- annihilation at a c.m. energy of 34.4 GeV. The p 蟺+ and 螞 蟺 invariant mass spectra contain no 螖 or 危* signals. Upper limits, at 95% confidence level, are that less than 12% of all p and less than 26% of all 螞 come from the decay of doubly charged 螖 and singly charged 危* states respectively. These limits correspond to production rates of <0.10 螖++ and <0.09 危* per event (inclusive of anti-particles). Production of the decuplet states 螖++ and 危* is suppressed by a factor 鈮9 relative to octet baryons of the same strangeness. 漏 1984 Springer-Verlag.
